I’m so glad you’re here!  I’m Dasia, the face behind Heart Inspired Designs.  I am a CPA with a full time job/career in corporate accounting and finance.  I graduated from Baruch College in New York with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.  However, interior design and crafts have always been my passion and main creative outlet.  

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved home decor and at home celebrations.  I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Jamaica.  This is where I developed the love from watching my mom passionately care for our home and seeing just how special she made each milestone or holiday feel.  Everyone loved visiting because they truly felt at home.  We didn’t have much, but she was very creative in repurposing and creating items for our home.  Over the years, I’ve dabbled in design, whether it’s working on a project for my home, or helping friends and family design and decorate their own home.  

My never ending passion and zest for designing and creating led me to Heart Inspired Designs by Dasia, which is my creative outlet to share inspiration for styling and decorating, DIYs, tips and ideas.  When it comes to my home, I am not afraid to get my hands dirty or learn a new skill. In my spare time, I can be found doing exactly what I love……designing and creating.

Creating this blog is an exciting new step for me and I cannot wait to start sharing with you! Again, welcome to this online space where I hope you will find something that inspires you to style or create something in your own home!
